Battery losing it's charge

Sounds like if you find out why you are blowing fuses you may also fix your drainage problem. Check under the dash area for bare wiring - you may need to remove the battery to see here.

Dear motor heads I have a AC312D whose battery loses it's charge when the engine isn't running. I have a manual w/ wiring diagram, but don't know where to start. Am also blowing a 30 amp fuse between ampmeter and solinoid. Are these problems related? I appreciate any help you guys can give me. The snow will be here soon!

Brian Sounds like you have a draw somewhere in the system that is drawing from the battery. Try unhooking the battery ground wire and see if this stops the drain on the battery. If not the battery might be the problem. If the battery stays up when unhooked then you will have to trouble shoot the system. As far as blowing the fuse I would say you have a problem somewhere else. You will need a amp meter and check to see where the heavy load coming from. I would suspect wires partially shorted or a partial ground somewhere.
