Hello Dennis, I'am also working on a Briggs & Stratton model 19 engine. The part # of the connecting rod is 291234 which is N/A from Briggs & Stratton dealer.?The Briggs & Stratton model 14 (5 hp) engine also has the same connecting rod. My engine also needed a connecting rod and a few other used parts. Karl 8D

I had good luck getting a new rod I needed for my model 19 briggs from Browns Mower Service in MT Aetna PA. 717-933-5346. I thought they were reasonably priced for it also ($40+ship) for a part thats NLA. I put a add here & on yesterdays tractors & had prices for a new rod as hi as $80 + ship. My local Dealer Tennies Hardware was able to get OS piston & rings & a gasket kit. seals were NLA through Briggs but still available through Stens. I'm sure that the seals could be gotten from any bearing place also. whats wrong with your crank that you need a new one? if its the rod journal thats worn you can send them out to be welded up and reground back to size.
