Engine Trouble

I have a 1996 kohlar mag. 20hp twin. The problem is one cylinder seems to be reseving significantly more fuel than the other. The wet cylinder is about 2" lower in position to the dry one. Ive checked ignition, spark plugs, rebuilt carb, checked compression and I am in the process of changing the intake manifold gaskets, just waiting for parts. The end result when starting is back firing and poor proformance. Could my problem still be in the carb or maybe a valve probem or am I headed down the right path?

Hi Colby, If this is in the ultima/ sunstar series of tractor, I would check the safety switch interlock module under the dash. They have caused numerous problems before. Neal
