Overlooked maintanence = Blown Blower

A sad tale to tell of how overlooked maintenence has cost me big time. Last week I finally dragged out the 28" Troy Built blower. Had not been run last winter due to NO SNOW, pulled the dipstick looked just as clean as when it was put in 2 years ago. cleaned out the carb and got her running OK. Must have had some condensation down in the bottom of the engine that was frozen then thawed out and mixed with the oil. Went to use the machine on Tuesday morning to clear the 24" we got and only got about 5 feet before the engine seized. Oh $!@#$%& the oil must have frozen up. Moral of the story, change that freeking oil even if you put it in fresh when you summarized the machine. Regards

Good thing it wasn't your simplicity! That's the only bright side to this story! I probably would have done the same thing.
