I live on a corner, and the neighbor across the road has a couple 5000# JD's and the neighbor kitty corner from me has some big Case-IH tractors. They both have over 160 acres to use these machines on and my Simplicities are of little interest to them. They have a couple hundred head of livestock at 900# each, I have 3 dogs at an average of 75# each. They're happy to give me a bale of straw once in a while and I'm happy to give them a couple dozen ears of sweetcorn.:D

One of my neighbors "spoke out" on my Simplicity in this topic, "A few action pictures" http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13905

About 12 of my neighbors were glad during the big snow we had in the northeast here last week. I'd pull up as they were trying to shovel out, and ask if they wanted some help. The answer was yes, and the Simp 2110w/blower would just crank all of the snow away. Most of them had no clue that it was a 35 year old machine.

One of my neighbors is glade I own a Simplicity, and so am I. Charlie is an unmarried retired construction worker in poor health who doesn't drive. I often take him to the store, and always clear his snow. Today, he gave me the title to his recently deceased twin brother's 1987 Ford Aerostar. I asked him where he wanted me to put the "stuff" that is inside it. He said, "Take it all. It's yours." The "stuff" includes a brand new gas powered air compressor, generator, and power washer. Not cheap junk either.

Dutch, I'm happy for you. I know that you do not do things for your neighbor to get ahead but rather out of your heart just to help a fellow human being. So it is really great that sometimes, not often, us good guys do get repaid for kindness. Good on you Dutch. Dan

Dutch: I have found that if you do something to help others and don't ask, request or expect something in return, you will be rewarded. What you are doing for your neighbor may seem small to you, but to someone who is in poor help to have someone who takes them out to run erronds or for a drive is a great help.

My neighbor runs his farm with Allis Chalmers 5050 tractor and a few Allis Chalmers equipment and has a Massey Ferguson (Simplicity made)lawn tractor. His father also had a Allis Chalmers WD-45 tractor. My neighbor does not make fun of his favorite tractor.:D:D Karl

I've been doing six drives and with this last one I got handed a hundred dollar bill that I was told I'd better not refuse or I'd be forbidden to come play any more. That neighbor is late fifties, lives alone and works odd hours at the casino. She had been wondering who was doing the snow removal until she figured out that it was me making all those funny zig-zag tire tracks(ag tires). When the big storm hit she got a ride home and back in to work, then drove up to find me on the Putt Putt with the three belt blower whirring away. I was undercutting a bank taller than the hood of the tractor and had her into her garage in short order. The money got me new belts for the blower and then some......

I helped plow out about 5 neighbors with a homemade tow behind A frame plow (I made from old barn wood). One neighbor is a 94 year old retired colonl from the Army. Another is an 84 year old retired Navy Captain. I do it for being just neighborly becase its the right thing to do. JH

I would like to help people push snow. but by the time me and the bobcat (skid looder) get dun pushing of the hog lots and arround the buildings their aint much time to do much more. Once ya push snow with a skid looder ya cant beat thim. mowers are fun but slow when ya got a 4' drift in your drive way.
