I find removal of the chute to work better, but would never advocate others doing it. Someone may get hurt...........

Kent, I also, set mine up that way. It would not fit through the shed door with the chute down. I have since modified my shed and doors, and will take some pics. when I get upstate. Chutes are a pain, but they keep alot of grass from blowing back in your face.

I tried one of those. It wouldn't raise my chute. Pulled so hard I ripped the bolts out of the deck. Guess you need a chute with a hinge or something. Huh? This guy may just use the "Lift-n-Mow" as an excuse to raise a cheek and pass gas.

There.... I stopped over to his place with my Weed & Brush cutter. Now he doesn't have to worry about raising his chute.

Hey Dutch, I have about 3 acres of marsh-willow bushes that I would love to have you meet! I've already cut/hacked/burned/poisoned them down a few times but they have more lives than 10 cats! Which is what I really need.....one real big CAT.:(!

LOL The chute on my new sovereign fell off at the dealership boy was i p-oed :p As far as modifying the shed door goes, on my 42" husquavarna tractor the shed door actually modified my chute, i bent the dam thing so many times that finally it fell off too :D
