discharge on 48" deck

Recommended Posts

I have a B-112 that was mowing perfect all summer. After I dropped the deck to paint it, it has not got the "discharge" it had before. Nothing seems to be coming out of the side chute. I thought maybe the belts were worn and not getting enough turn, not the problem, please help if possible.

Sounds like you twisted the belt from the PTO to the deck the wrong direction and the blades are turning backwards. Been there done that, no discharge at all. Is it cutting the grass ok? Tim

When I've done that on my 7016 (put the belt on bkwrds) I've had to check to make sure the internal belt didn't jump as well. I usually found out after I put it on correctly. Now after taking the deck off, I SLOWLY engage the PTO & watch the blades to make SURE they're spinning the 'right' way. my 2 cents

Check belt to see if it is on correctly. You may have the blades turning in the wrong direction.

If not the above - did you tension the PTO lever in the back by the right rear axle? I don't know for sure if you have one though - the first models had a fixed spring.
