We attended an auction on Saturday in Bloomsburg,PA. We saw an early AC 720 with a 60 inch mower, large tires, 3pth, NON-working rear pto, torn-up seat, average paint for it's age, and a fairly large dent below the front grill bring $4100. This tractor was also puffing some blue smoke.

Just goes to show one man's junk is another man's treasure! You just never know about auctions - and it's even the end of the season. I think the seller did very well in this case - or maybe the buyer really wanted a reason to join this great club!

Thats the thing with auctions - sometimes you can do REALLY well and sometimes REALLY poorly - buying or selling. It can be the right place at the wrong time or the wrong place at the right time - you never can tell whats going to sell and when.

I'm looking for one of these tractors in complete, rebuildable condition. Bad or non-running motor. $500 doesn't sound sound all that bad. BTW, I am in Indiana and they don't seem to be very common here.
