Hydro lip seal

Hi all, Has anyone changed the lip seal # 44 ? Is it hard to take out,do I have to take the hydro a part? Any info will be appreciated

I replaced several of those seals. I removed the old seal by punching a small hole in it and using a slide hammer. You may be able to pop it out with a screw driver, just don't damage the shaft. I smeared vaseline on the shaft and used a socket as a driver to gently hammer the new seal in. If you have to remove the #42 housing, replace the #40 O-ring and #43 bearing. DO NOT disturb the #41 gear pump. Check the shaft for burrs if the #42 housing is removed.
