Muffler

I paid about 8 bucks for a muffler down at Farm and Fleet. Had to get a short 1" pipe made to screw it in.

Isn't the standard B&S pipe muffler available? That's what they came with.

Does anyone have any ideas on a muffler for a 7hp Briggs & stratton engine for a Simplicity Broadmore moedl 717 tractor? I've seen the super trapp at Jacks small engines, but think they are too expensive. Would a small motorcycle muffler work? Thanks
