Adjustable seat

Kent

Recommended Posts

I just posted a DIY story of installing seat adjusters on my HB-216 that the 11 year old claims as his. I've been looking for some for a while, and ordered these from Northern Tool for $17.99. They're designed for go cart seats. If your kids drive your tractor, you may want to consider something like this. While the adjusters allow 7" of travel, the way I have them mounted provides 6"... but boy what a difference that makes for short legs! Kent, I used some slides from an automobile seat on the 61 Wards when my oldest son first started pulling. I mounted them backward with the adjustment lever in the rear. It worked very well.

I was thinking about doing something like that myself, since the wife wants to start driving the tractor. (scary ins't it?). Glad to see it can be done. Steve

I put slides under the seat of our pulling tractor "ACe" for my son to have better control when pulling.
