Simplicity white

Found this stock tractor as a sample in a previous orange paint question. But I'm concerned about the wheel color. If you were to repaint these wheels from a paint can off the shelf, what color would this come close to? Or does Simplicity still have this paint available? I've never had to match the wheel paint yet for these Simplicity's. Anybody any idea?

MY TWO CENTS: I have yet to find a spray can with this color. Antique White is too brown, as are most other off-whites I find. I just said the hell with it and use pure white.

Try Fleet Farm or Farm Fleet "Almond" in the tractor(spray cans) paint section. This is as close as a match that I could find.

Nice looking tractor! What do you mean by "stock tractor"? Is that the original paint? Do you use the stand to store them or work on them? Didn't you have a great looking wonderboy too?

I personally haven't even tried to match -- I found Rustoleum white at a surplus center and bought two cases (12 cans) at a buck a can.... Guess what color everything white gets painted... ;)

I found a rustoleum "Shell White" to be a real close match. It matched the color inside the rims pretty well. I think there was an "Ivory White" that was close also. While on the subject of paint. How do you guys deal with paint in rattle cans of spray paint when the paint does not come out? I think the nozzle gets clogged and stops the rest of the paint from coming out. Is there a trick to it?? Thanks for any help. John H

Kris, Just like the orange, there may be different shades of white. The closest off the shelf I've found for the 7000/7100 series is Walmart's "ColorPlace - Ivory #21022". It's dead on with OEM.

Kris, Now that's one fine looking 725, Is it yours? I use Wimbledon White # MSA 5003A from Martin Senour, it seems to match pretty close and I have several other things around the farm painted with this color, so that makes it an easy choice...;)8D

Nice tractor.. I can't help with the color. Because I can't stop looking at your tractor stand ! That is real neat! Great idea. And nobody has said anything about it. I'll bet thats gotta be nice on the knees or your back.;) Does it adjust to different length tractors?

Fellas…… you should visit the Gallery more often. There’s a lot of interesting stuff there. > http://www.simpletractors.com/gallery/full_circle.htm

That's right Dutch, they should visit the gallery more often or better yet http://www.simpletractors.com. The founding father of this forum. You never know what you might find there in the way of information. Kent has done a fine job there also. As for the tractor no it's not mine But it is in the gallery. I just used it for the sample of the white paint. If you read about it you will find that it is restored to original I believe.

Shame on me!! And I've been to the gallery many times too.:I Well I still like the stand. Its a great idea. As for the paint I have used Krylon almond. May not be right-on but looks good to me.

Sears makes a great new motorcycle lifting stand that would probably work great for garden tractors. As soon as I can save up $100.00 I'll have one. Matt
