Tried out the Tiller today..

Well I got the 2010 going that I bought a couple of days ago.. runs good but BGB is going Bad lots of slop and tractor lurches... Well back to the Tiller boy I really enjoy this tiller sure beats the ole walk behind.... it seems to do a excellent job too.. not sure how i done without one before now... LOL

I should try my tiller for my AC B-12 tractor. I was to busy raking all the branches off the lawn today to get the tiller out.:)I never used a tiller on my AC or Simplicity tractors yet. Karl

Bunky, I think these tillers do just as good a job as a Troybilt rear-tine... I have a small 5HP Troy, and since I got one for the tractor, all it Troy gets used for is cultivating after I've planted... I pulled the dozer blade off the Big Ten, mounted my tiller, and tilled in the shredded leaves that last November's early snow prevented tilling into the garden then...

I had the tiller on the Putt Putt today, worked pretty well. Then the kids and I planted snow peas, spinach, carrots, radishes, collards, and a few other things. We also started pumpkins, cantaloupe, and watermelons in a cold frame to transplant later next month. You have to love it when your 42 year old machinery is outworking stuff that's only one fourth its age........

Have to agree with Kent on the quality of the tilling job these old Simplicity tillers do. I have tilled uncountable hours, doing custom work and my own, with a 6hp Horse model Troy built I bought new in 73. Last year I tilled with the 725 and an auction scored tiller for a model W and was Very impressed with the job it did. So close is the quality of the job it got me wondering who copied who...MPH
