Hi guys. I tried an ad in the local paper for older unwanted tractors and parts. So far its been out 3 days and I already have 11 riders and 4 push mowers. No "diamonds in the rough" yet but I'm still hoping. One pile I need to go look at may be of interest here. The guy said "a pile of older engines and a bunch of starter-generators" Hopefully the kind of stuff used on AC's and Simp's. Oh yea...so far I have not put out a dime other than gas money ($20)^^:D

Be aware that Cub Cadet starter generators spin the opposite direction, as do the John Deeres, I think... Simplicity mounted the engine "backwards" so the cooling air would blow out of the grille, instead of back on the driver.

the little jd 70 is a fairly hot collectable. you could probable put it on ebay and make a few easy bucks...........jim
