I Just Put a New Alternator On My 7790

The charging system quit on my Lombardini so I decided to put a alternator on it, I still have to make some brackets for the engine mounts but that shouldn't be to hard. I drilled the holes in the pulley with my drill press and got it pretty true[:0]. What did the front PTO option look like as far as engine mounts? Does anybody have any pictures?

Was not aware of a front pto kit for the 7790. I have both 7790 and 920D manuals with attachments and accessories and no mention of a front PTO kit.

By the way, this type of alternator can be instanned on most engine applications. Use a Chevy one wire alternator and make the brackets. That eliminates current chargine and voltage regulation problems completely. A friend of mine has done it on a couple tractors already. Just need to use a small car battery, not one of the small garden tractor batteries. It will overcharge them.
