broadmoor 728 starting problems

Can anyone tell me how to check the ignition switch. I don't know which terminals I should get continuity thru for it to start.

It might not not be ignition switch so much as having both of you saftey swtiches lined up to start when you turn igition switch to start. Study Maynard's second diagram. PTO switch is in front of tractor by PTO pulleys and and transmission switch is on gear shift lever under fender pan. You might have to have an ohmeter to do continuity checks.
