:(!I hate to mow the front of my yard by the road.It is an odd shape requiring alot of turns, backing up and so-forth.What has everyone done to eliminate an undesireable area to mow?,plant wildflowers?, I don't know.

I hate to mow my front yard with the tractor too. I usually just do it with a push mower. Or better yet, have my wife mow it with the push mower.

If it's not too big, you might plant a fairly care-free garden with low bushes, roses, small evergreens, perennials etc. You can improve the landscaping and avoid grass altogether.

One of our neighbors growing up had a nice ranch-style home made from old, original hand-hewn logs. Their entire front lawn was blooming shrubs, like rhododendrons and azaleas, with vinca minor (the vining type, often called periwinkle) as a ground cover. The vinca wouldn't climb the shrubs or trees, and provided a beautiful green ground cover, in addition to pretty blooms in the spring and early summer. The only maintenance at all was to whack it back off the sidewalk occasionally... Their back lawn was the typical bluegrass, but it wasn't even visible from the street.
