Aaaaah, the smell of fresh cut grass

I just put on my first mow of the year yesterday. After about a half an acre I realized only the middle blade on my 728 was cutting so to the garage and low and behold the original (1971) belt on the deck had finally given up its ghost. I am amazed at how long the belt had lasted. Finally got it back together. Also thanks to those who posted my last question about the ignition switch it wound up being a toasted gel battery.

Don't you just hate it when you have to fix these machines just because they are 30 or 40 years old they should not need new parts yet.Belts should last longer than that.Bob
