Hi Tom, I picked up a 1976 roto-hoe chipper/shredder minus motor last fall. I was told it had a Tecumseh 4hp but I think it was bigger cause the 5hp tiller motor I put on bogged untill I changed drive pulleys. I used it about 15-18 hours last fall and found it to be a tough piecs of equipment. As for driving it off your D/A19, I have a Simplicity 17 GTH-L and I may try that just to see if it will work. Let me know if you try this. Larry

I did some welding on a Roto-Hoe chipper last year, I don't remember the type of engine, but I do remember that as for chipping brush it was pretty well worthless, maybe for leaves it would work better. The Roto-hoe has a rotating fly wheel to chunk up the brush and a hammer-mill to pulverize it, the chips eventually fall out the bottom. If you feed it a 3/4" stick it will do a lot of jumping around and vibrating plus it puts a lot of vibration into your wrists. The mower deck on my B-10 set at the highest position does a much better job on the woody brush and is a lot quicker.
