Hi everybody, I need to know the part no. and the length of the belt that goes from the bevelgear box down to the mower deck spindle. The tractor is a7016H and the Mfg. No. is 1690202 the mower deck is a 48 inch deck. I looked in the belt section hereanfound nothing. I got this tractor a week ago non running and since then got it going. I got also a complete vac system, 38 inch heavy duty tiller and a grader blade for $300.00. Thinks in advance for the help.:D Thanks Ray

I have a 7016H w/48" deck and in the manual that I am looking at it calls for belt part number 1657044. Hope that helps.

I downloaded the manual the other day. It shows the 48 inch deck and belt and the page that the belt part number is on is not on the download. They must not have added it to the pdf file. Thanks Ray

I've got the same 7016H w/48" mower set-up. Last fall I bought a new OEM 1657044 belt from my Sim dealer and I now think it's about one inch too long. I have almost zero tension on the new belt. During the first mow this year I noticed lots of slippage due to the low tension. I'm wondering if the belt was mislabeled at Sim. I've never had the problem with past replacements and there doesn't seem to be anything excessively worn causing this to happen. What is the correct belt length supposed to be? Has anyone had a similar experience?

This brings up a question. I received belt p/n N1722039 which is listed in the parts manual but noticed it's about one size smaller in profile (smaller V shape) and sits in the BGB drive pully farther, but it doesn't appear to bottom out. It matches the mower deck belt in profile. Did someone have the wrong size drive belt on before? The old belt was noticeably larger.

The Belt and Blade Ready Reference manual is a great resource to have. I downloaded it in less than twenty minutes. Took about an hour to print (both sides, book style). Now I have it in a binder and within arms reach. Steve
