AC HELP!

Sid

Recommended Posts

Ok I'm going to do a spring tune-up on my AC 620. Can anyone tell me if "ATF" is the same as "A-ATF" as is recommended in my manual. And what would be the equivalent to AC 715 gear lube? My local Simplicity dealer has no clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ATF is ATF. Samething Gear lube is 90w. Simpilcity had there own designation as they wanted to sell there product. Can't imagine a dealer not knowing.

Sid I would take the manual with you and wherever you buy your oil you should be able to cross-reference it to their own brand. I put Mobil Synthetic oil in everything on my 9020 & 720.

Sid read my post on Pow'r Max 9020 Oil Filters. I have swiched from Dexron II to Trans-Hydraulic Fluid, this is a new fluid designed for hydostatic transmission and gear box applications. This should be available at your CO-OP agro dealer. The 9020 Simplicity and your AC620 should be the same. You should be able to get the spec's of this oil from your dealer. I am now using this oil and it works just great in my Pow'r Max 9020. 8D PS: The final bull gears take 90w gear oil. For the motor I am using Purolator L20195 or PER195 same filter. The Fram filter is a PH3600 fOR the motor. I do not have the Simpllicity part No. as it is not in my manuals so I got the motor filter No.off of the filter when the motor was new.

My AC 720 calls for Dexron for the hydro and 80-90 for the final drives. I am planning to change the Dexron for the equivalent to the Allis Chalmers 821 that I can get at the farm store. One of those jobs I've put on hold for too long. Good luck with the 620! Dave
