FiremanRon
Bad news for everyone who spent $35-40 on the electronic hour meters. Sears in Toledo has them for $24.95. I don't know if they stock them at other stores around the country. Even if you don't buy their tractors, it doesn't hurt to snoop around the other dealers now and then. You might even find a good deal on a Simple trACtor that someone traded in.
dlcentral
Don't you just Hate it when that happens? I do! That's how I started in this tractor business, buying trade-ins from the JD dealer, who BTW is no longer in business after 60 yrs. of service! The Agco/Sim. dlr. however STILL IS! What does that say about Green vs. Orange!? dlc
grandpawrichard
Snoop around at Sears well now that could really get me into trouble with my "deere boss" and in some area's around the country I've been told it can even get you kicked out of the store! Anyway dlc sorry to hear about your loss with your favorite dealer going under and all. Just look at it this way dlc at least they got you going and Sim. is keeping you going "just kidding". And I just knew there was a reason I hadn't bought one yet. Thanks for the info. and cheers to all >>->happyjack<-<<

dlcentral
Does the one sears sells have the service alerts built in? Sendec sells various models of the tach/hour meter, ranging in list price from 33.50 to 39.99. Not much of a difference in list, but I can see if it's just the hour meter that maybe it's been a slow seller, hense the lower price. Most places I checked couldn't keep the hour meter/tach/25hr service reminder models in stock, they were selling so fast.
FiremanRon
The unit I bought at Sears has the Hour Meter, and service alert flashes at 25 hours. The card says it works with all tractors. I don't think they were clearing them out, since there were only a couple left the first time I was in the store, and this time, the shelf had been refilled. I thought it had the tach, until I started the engine, then re-read the package. Oh well.
