Correct grease type?

Qu. - what type of grease should I put in the (sealed) chain case of a tiller unit off an old Type W walking tractor? I guess any old grease would do - even the old grease that's been in there for the last 45 years - but new grease may as well be the correct format. Any offers appreciated.

I work for an excavating contractor and we use somewhere near 2500 tubes of grease a year and have tried all kinds. I am no expert on the technicalities of grease but can tell you I like the good red sticky stuff the best. You will pay a couple bucks more a tube, but it holds on real good. IMHO Ken

All the farmers I know around here use Chevron red grease. Only tube I have is in a grease gun atm, so can't give you the actual name off it.
