Air Filter

In looking for an improved air filter for the Kohler OHC TH-18 twin I found K & N Engineering does not have one available. Now I'm waiting for Kohler Engines and Simplicity to respond. I feel the stock filter is inadequate and a poor design for dusty conditions. Does anyone have a solution, or better idea, for improved air filtration? Thanks, Roy

I agree. The stock filter just isn't up to the dust a debris that the mower can cough up, especially in the fall when the leaves come down. When the filter plugs up it causes loss of power or can stall the moter. I expect my TrackVak to suck up the leaves, not my motor.
