    Engine   Briggs & Stratton. 4-cycle aircooled single cylinder. 16 hp. 32.4 cu. in. displacement. Synchro-balanced. Stellite exhaust valve and seat. Horizontal crankshaft. Cast iron construction. Fuel capacity, 3 gals.
    Governor Adjustable mechanical, fully enclosed and lubricated. Range-1000 to 3600 rpm.
    Lubrication Splash type. Capacity 4 pts.
    Starting 12 volt electric starter generator with 42 ampere-hour battery, 3 stage voltage regulator, 20 ampere circuit breaker and generator warning light.   Key controlled with solenoid.

    Complete continuous range of ground speeds in forward and reverse without clutching or shifting...without changing attachment speed.
    4-speed ranges in forward and reverse. Permits instant reversing in any range without clutching or shifting.

    Interesting as I have both a 3414S and a 3416H from that 73-74 era.  Have a Front Cut 48" mower for grass but use the other 2 for snow blowing, thatching, spraying etc.  Both oldies used year round.  No major problems with either of the oldies.  Both purchased new.  Best investment I ever made.
